Most everyone's done it. You go do a little shopping, pick up a few things, but decide not to pick up that extra bottle of something that to this day you regret not buying. Personally, mine would Van Winkle Rye that I passed on 8 or 9 years ago that I never found again.

It's virtually the samething. I remember a fairly nice liquor store in east moline that closed a few years back that had ORVW 15 year squat bottles that I should have bought that I just left on the shelf like a dummy.

When I was in Bardstown last year, I eyed off a bottle of Pappy 20 for $99 and a Rittenhouse Rye 21yo (can't remember the price on it) at Toddys. That was Thursday night, whilst buying a bottle of Vintage 17, and my plan was to head back sometime before we left on Tuesday. Unfortunately sometime never happened, and I never got back to the store

Texas is part of my sales territory, and I get out to Dallas a couple of times per year. I'll drive to Shreveport, to meet a customer there. On the way to Shreveport, there is a small store that had 3 bottles of slope shoulder OCPR 13 (one of my personal faves). I left them at least 4 times (though, have managed to take home a very nice haul over the years from the area ). The fifth time, I had plans to grab them. They were gone... I kick myself every time I pass that store, now.
