    WTRye

This one is about to move to the Empty Bottle Support Group. After that, probably some Handy to compare. I really like the WTRye.

WOW! I went from the WTRye to RittBIB and then on to the Handy. In that order, I REALLY LIKE EACH. For one, I've always loved WTRye. The RittBIB was always hit or miss for me, even from the same bottle. The Handy, always good, but sometimes a little overpowering.

In this order though, they all shone/shined brightly. I really like the soft peppermint flavor of the WTRye. Moving to the Ritt I get a much thicker peppery/maple flavor. It's still rye, but it seems much closer to bourbon. The Handy on the other hand....EXTRA clovey, peppery, minty, maple'y goodness. I'm really glad I have more of the Handy to explore in the future. I really think the first half of the first bottle went down with a bit of dumbfoundedness. I had no idea how to take it. In other words:

I'M LEARNING...AND I'M LOVING EVERY MINUTE OF IT.

Nice one, SMOWK. I had a similar experience with my first bottle of Handy but really enjoyed the journey as I drank it down over a two month period.

some Baby Saz early on, then a nightcap of 73 Beam 100 month. Damn that's good compared to the new stuff.

While at Bourbon's Bistro with some of the guys last night I had Old Granddad 114 for the first time. Wow, what a bourbon, and knowing that a fifth goes for $22 made it taste that much better.
