    This over That

I have a thread idea, maybe it has been done before, but why not do it again. Give me a list of your this over that.

For example maybe you say Bookers over Basil Haydens or something along that line.

I think this could be helpful to newer people (like myself) when considering different things to try. Include all price ranges.

To make it easy you can just type with a slash to make a list.

    This / That

    Let's hear it.

I love this idea, but it sounds like what I do every time I go to the liquor store. Most of the time I'm thinking in terms of what is a better value (i.e. less money) for a similar or superior bottle (in my own opinion, of course), but sometimes, what's a better pour in a similar price point (again, IMO). Here are some easy ones:

Elijah Craig 12 / Knob Creek

WL Weller Special Reserve / Maker's Mark

Wild Turkey Rye 101 / Russel's Reserve Rye

Ancient Ancient Age 10yr / Eagle Rare Single Barrel 10/90

    George Dickel No.12 / Jack Daniel's

Wild Turkey Rare Breed / Blanton's

    Baker's / Booker's

    Van Winkle Lot 'B' / Pappy 20

That's funny, we went opposite on the Booker's and the Baker's.....what's your stand on Candlestick Makers?

    Weller Antique over Makers
Buffalo Trace over Elijah Craig 12
    Knob Creek over Woodford Reserve
    Pappy 15 over Pappy 20
    Bookers over just about anything

Looking at my list, appearantly I'll take BT and Beam Small Batch against the field. Didn't realize.
