Did you happen to take note of who made it?
And why Caramel flavored? Isn't bourbon caramel flavored enough?

I'm told it was made by "that new rectifier in Bowling Green," but I don't know who that is.

I'm not at all sure, but that may be the place where Ben Kickert works, Corsair Artisan Distillery, although I don't see White Tail listed under their products -- perhaps he'll chime in on this (to confirm or disconfirm).
It's funny that everyone is sticking with the 'deer' theme . . . I wonder how many poor bastards so far have sent their wife to the liquor store to pick up GT Stagg and ended up with Red Stag.

People still "send their wife to the store"? No wonder the divorce rate is ever increasing.
Bourbon(ish) Content: Red Stag is with one "G", George T Stagg is with four.

A flavored whiskey named after a type of deer in a similarly shaped bottle. Red Stag.......Whitetail.....where's the trade dress lawyers when you need them to keep these things from multiplying?

I didn't mean to implicate our dear Mr. Kickert in this atrocity . . . here is our exchange:
Funknik: Ben is Corsair responsible for White Tail Caramel Whiskey?
Kickert: Dear God NO!! It is just Heaven Hill Juice with carmel extract bottled in BG.
So, that puts that possibility to rest.
Sorry to offend, Corsair!![]()
