    Searching for Lost Treasure/s

What are some of the greatest bourbons and ryes that you have you been searching for the longest and cannot find due to its discontinuation (forget about pricing and that money was not an object). In other words, what are some of the greatest losses in bourbons and ryes.

    Mine are:
Bourbons - Wild Turkey Russell's Reserve 101 proof
Rye - Willett 22yrs rye (Doug Phillips' bottling)

The one I get "giddy" about would be...

    SW Old Fitz
    Any Weller centennial
    ER101
    WT 8YR (before 94)
    Cheers,

It's funny you mention Doug's rye bottling. I just had that two weeks ago while enjoying Doug's company.

For me a couple come to mind:

    Mt Vernon Rye
Any SW bourbon produced under Pappy
    Early WT 8/101
    Hirsch Red/Blue wax

Brad - I personally like the 8 year better than the 12 year. What are your impressions?

Greg I like the 12 yo better than the 8 yo I like the wood it taste like a rickethouse smells. But a little bit goes a long ways the 8 yo is smokier .

I haven't actualy had the 8 year since around the time it was discontinued, and I was too young at the time to fully appreciate it. I remember it being like mixing RR 101 with the current 101. I recall especially how syrupy an empty glass smelled.

I love 12 year split labels. That signature WT spice mellows into a creamy ryeness.

I have been searching high and low, mostly high for Wild Turkey Stampede and Wild Turkey Freedom.
I have been dropping hints everywhere but can't get a response.
C'mon Brothers, I got the Turkey Jones, hook me up.
