    The Whiskey Standard

It's not like quite a few of us here don't know this.
(And, I'd suspect Grandma's 3 cases of pre-Beam Old Crow would hold its value quite well among us, anyway.)

Store Clerk: Okay, sir, that will be one bottle of Wild Turkey Rare Breed.

Customer: Don't have anything smaller than a Pappy 15.

Store Clerk: That's fine. Let's see, your change would be a Jim Beam Black Label and a 375 of Early Times. Have a nice day!

I've been advised in the days after Obamageddon that you can use 22 rimfire cartridges as currency. Guns-N-Whiskey, a new standard for honest tradin' on the new frontier. I've backed up my bunker of tradin' whiskey and ammo with lots of hickory smoked SPAM. That should cover all the survival needs.
Often I am forced to deal with the fact that I prefer bourbon over dealing with facts.
