Re: Hello from the Mitten State

I do (work in Ann Arbor), and I will definately check out A&L. I've been stopping in Super Liquor IV on State st, Ann Arbor recently. They have a fairly decent selection. Well at least enough of a selection to keep me busy for a while.

Stopped by A&L yesterday. Nice selection, and nice folks working there who seemed knowledgeable about what they were selling. They had VOB, which I hadnt seen yet, so that went home with me.

That's a nice pick-up and, for me anyway, the best "value" bourbon on the market, hands down. Enjoy! (What proof did you get, by the way?)

Thanks for the tip, I haven't been there in years, I'l have to stop by and check them out. We uses to go there for groceries when we lived off of Forest Ave near the University Center.

Welcome Doug. Yet another Michigander joins the ranks. Just kidding. Like I told another new member from Michigan, the folks up there will treat you good as long as you treat them the same way. Have fun and enjoy the ride. Joe

90 proof. And yes, it's pretty darned good for the money. $12 and change I think it was (before tax that is).

Bummer! Remember though, Binny's often has the BIB, so you may be able to get it here on your next run into town.

I picked up a bottle of VOB BIB at Binny's when I was in Chicago last month for WhiskyFest. Very good and only $13! Only regret now is that I only grabbed one bottle.
