That was interesting, it did look like a sample bottle.
I do have one exception to what he said about their whisky and that is "everything that goes out of here is 8 to 12 years old."
I don't think so.
I've been there and it was my favorite tour experience of all the distilleries that I've visited.

I just poured myself a No12, neat, I like it.

I think he is just the brand man. Notice his cap is clean and does not fit. Most master distillers now never touch the real work.

Nope John Lunn is the master distiller.

Today the Distillery is run by Master Distiller John Lunn (Pictured Right) who is continuing the handmade process that was set forth by George Dickel and again by Ralph Dupps.

Tom's point is that today Master Distillers for the major producers spend so much of their time as brand ambassadors that they're rarely in the distillery getting dirty.

It might depend on when exactly this movie was made. If it was made in late 07 early 08, all the product they were selling was from 99 or earlier, as they had start distilling again in 2003 and were still aging that spirit...the new stuff finally went on sale early 2008 as Cascade Hollow.

Increasingly, I find that I ignore what distilleries say about the age of their NAS products because I don't want to be in a position of not believing them.
