Farmers were dependent upon distilleries to feed their livestock...When a distillery went down a lot of farmers were forced sell their livestock...
The old man sitting in the wagon (picture # 4)...This is probably the most memorable item that I have...Times were very hard then...His face shows a man living a hard life...His clothes tell his work history...More than likely there is a sad story (with this man). I wish that there was a name to go with it...
