Finished the Weller 12, so I thought I'd have a pour of NAS OWA. What? Not much left in there either. It goes out tonight too. Joe

My bottle of Booker's just bit the dust while watching Quantum of Solace. I believe I will look in a different direction for my next high proof bourbon. Most likey a 4R barrel strength bourbon. I really like the 4R small batch and single barrel.
Killed off a Binny's Weller 12 tonight...good thing there are a couple more where that bottle came from.![]()

I stared at the last pour in this bottle for a long time.
This baby is / was at a inexplicable 97.2 proof. Incredibly concentrated flavors with minimal oak. Props to Oscar for turning me on to this one. Unfortunately, by the time I pulled the trigger there was only one left.

Rest in peace Lot B and MM46. I may have time to finish the last pour of pappy 20. Great bourbons! I'll have to raid the bunker to replace these. tim
Just polished off a Lot B and a Centennial (Civic Center bottling) the night before.....

I was pretty dismissive to the Smooth Dark Top until tasting Joshua's from Halloween 2002, it is very very good. While I'll say it is better than my current Pewter top which is opening up very nicely, I have yet to have a pewter top that wasn't worth the money I spent on it. I don't recall having ever seen a SDT when I was hunting SoCal, but when I am back there next week I'll be sure looking for them and if I find any priced well will likely bring them home with me. Still say the best Turkey I ever tasted was my Pewter from 1996 - wish I would have put 200ml of it away for sampling, it was like Tribute only a little better it seemed.
