Blueberry Bourbon Cocktail

Late summer is often the high point of blueberry season and this cocktail sounds like a tasty bourbon berry creation:

A Blueberry Bourbon Cocktail as easy as 1-2-3
one part maple syrup
two parts bourbon or whiskey .... I assume she means other whiskey.
three parts pure blueberry juice

"Mix thoroughly by either shaking or stirring with ice. Pour and garnish with floating blueberries to make it look pretty."

My second raspberry crop is coming in nicely but the comments of people who tried it say stick to blueberrys. Will try this on this Labor Day weekend.

Do you make blueberry juice just by crushing and filtering the blueberries or is some cooking involved?

These were a big hit with the ladies last evening.... a bit too sweet for me but the girls went through about 32oz of them. I found that the best place to find the pure blueberry juice was Trader Joe's .... their brand ismade by Knudsen and is the same stuff. Also, real maple syrup is the way to go... no Mrs. Buttersworth!!!
