Picked up a Blantons and a couple of bottles of wine for the misses.
Brought home a OCPR BHC, WTRB '99, WTKS pewter top '99. Nice fall day.
Picked up a fighting cock yesterday, looking forward to seeing what the fuss is all about.
The water was not fit to drink. To make it palatable, we had to add whiskey. By diligent effort, I learned to like it.

Got a Hancock"s President's Reserve. Haven't seen this around for some time.

Two bottles of Templeton Rye at Wal-Mart of all places. $32.99. There are a lot of bozo's around here are paying $50 or more. Probably drink one and give one away for Christmas.
Anyone else use the excuse of holidays getting close to justify buying extra bottles if you find a deal?
Finally! A local store is now "carrying" Four Roses products. The quotes are due to the fact that there is a spot on the shelf for it, but none has actually made it to the shelf yet. Their allocation: 1 bottle of FRSmB and 4 bottles of Yellow Label.
After inquiring about the 4R1B at the store, they called me back (amazing in itself!) to say they were able to get bottles for $44. A little pricey I thought, so I only ordered 1. I'm going to pick it up tomorrow or Friday, along with 3 bottles of Yellow Label. They made me pay by credit card over the phone today before they promised to order any.
Oh the pains we go through to obtain bottles...
2 bottles Elijah Craig 12 online for about $27 each... in Germany! That's less than the Binny's price, so I'm pleased. Also bought some Dolin vermouth and French brandy-marinated cherries for better Manhattans as prescribed in the the Manhattan thread near the top of the Cocktails forum right now.
Still hoping to get some good rye, though. Will probably order a Rittenhouse soon, as I've never tried it. And I haven't had me a Presbie in a while...
