I had Rittenhouse BIB before dinner yesterday and WLW 2008 after. My lady Yvonne did taunt me a lot when I did put water in the later.

Finished off a remarkable bottle of WLW 2010 at the neighbor's house while watching Wisconsin roll over Michigan.

After going to a wine tasting event I had the last out of my WRMCSO and a pour of Stagg 2009. The event was nice, but wine isn’t really anything I like to drink in that way. It’s simply a meal drink to me. As the dinner after the event was so small I just had a bunch of sandwiches a wile ago and now I having a fernet branca as a night cap.

Rare Breed. Getting notes of "barnyard" off this one, it's not the cork I'm sure which smells sweet and clean. I recall this taste from some 1950's and 60's bourbons too. Not off-putting really, but something I noticed.

John,
I was wonder what you were drinking while I was at the game.
No disrespect for Wisconsin, but your team beat up on a bad football team yesterday.
I didn't have to drown my sorrows as I expected an outcome similar to that.
After the game my wife and I went to the Haehnle Bird Sanctuary to watch the Sandhill cranes. There is a single Whooping crane that migrates with the Sandhill but we didn't see it yesterday.
Latter I had a little PVW15.

I've got a pair of Sandhills that show up in my yard once a week and will let me get within a few yards of them. Not sure what they like about my place, but they keep coming back.
As for bourbon, last night I had a tasting with a good friend. She was anxious to learn more about bourbon and we enjoyed it thoroughly. Had a little of each of the following:
ORVW 10/90
Pappy 20
Knob Creek
GTS 09

Chris
Watching football, drinking Willets 8 year old from Bardstown Liquor World. Going down very easy.
A Chick-fil-A a day, keeps the Progressives away.
All of this Pappy talk of late has me drinking the VWFRR from this year. It might be my favorite whiskey. Period. At least right now.
