Friday I found a PHC 2010 124.2 .
I've only seen two here in MI and both made it home with me. Now I have one for the bunker.
I think I'll have a sip just to reassure myself how wonderful it is.
Went digging around for a bottle of Beam Black last night to discover I was out. May go get one today if the weather clears a bit.
Came back from Florida via St. Louis. Did some shopping there before driving home. Brought back:
Four Roses Yellow
Wild Turkey KY Spirit
Ezra Brooks SB
Elijah Craig 18
Jefferson Presidential Batch 7
Some were much cheaper than I can get at home. Some just aren't available here. I was just a little dissapointed as one store listed Weller Centennial in stock on their website but it turned out to be a mistake. Still did well. All of that listed for less than $260.
3 - ORVW 10/107 (last in the city, as far as I know)
1 - VOB BiB 100
1 - FC
1 - EW BiB
Got a McKenna Single Barrel coming in the mail as I found that Internet Wines will ship to Tennessee.
Hopefully have a line on a couple of PVW 15's.
That oughta do it for this month.
Gotta make it somehow on the dreams you still believe...
Went shopping today, but prices seemed high. A.H. Hirsch 16yo at $400, Pappy 23yo at $230, Lot B at $55 and ORVW 10/107 at $42. I settled on a 2010 OFBB at $34. I bought an ORVW 10/90 last week for $29 and, as much as I wanted the 107, I thought $42 was too much.
Ryan when I found myself in that position in the past I let it go but now I buy it. Just precaution on my part learned from experience. Yellowstone was there then gone, Eagle Rare 10yr 101 was stacked on the shelves and not too long later was not available.
Did some work in Franklin, KY Monday. Finished early enough to run up to Bowling Green. Only had about $60 on me for bourbon (still recovering from Christmas and the wife's b-day is coming up). Picked up a Weller 12 yo and a bottle of Wathen's. We don't get the Weller 12 in my neck of the woods. I was surprised to find it @ $18.99. Of the low to mid $30s bottles I had to pick from, I know the least about Wathen's. I hope this bottle isn't a bust.
