I watched it on netflix... good piece... well worth the time.
Hope is subversive, for it limits the grandiose pretensions of the present by calling into existence the possibility of something better.

I saw it in the theaters and stayed for the discussion afterward.

    It's definitely worth watching.

See it! You won't regret it, it's great. I, too, saw it in the theater with the discussion.

I watched it on Netflix the other day out at my parent's house. Indeed it was well worth the time, even given the fact it had to buffer three times during the program.

I kept thinking about that poor woman from from 'full moon' or whatever it was, the brew with caffeine in it. Even if she could have been ultimately successfully against AB's entry into the caffeinated beer market, the whole Four Loco thing blew it up. Which brings me to my next point...

I found it unbalanced in its approach in that it downplayed the fight against the neo-prohibitionists. Sure AB is the bad guy, putting out products that are "close to water" and buying up moderately successful micro labels (micros they have squeezed out of of the market) and then putting inferior juice in the bottles, but the neo's are a real threat.

I just watched it. Moonshot has, indeed, stopped production.

I was disappointed by how much time was spent with Sam Adams and Dogfish Head, especially when Jim Koch claims nobody was making good craft beers when he started. I know Anchor had national distribution then, and I'm pretty sure Sierra Nevada did. As far as I am concerned those two are the Elder Statesmen of the movement. Sam Adams does some nice beers, but Boston Lager pales (ahem) in comparison to Anchor Steam and Sierra Nevada Pale Ale.

Oh, and I'm pretty sure it was several years before Sam Adams was even brewing beer. They've purchased some existing regional breweries now, but initially it was all contract brewing, compared to Anchor and Sierra Nevada, who have always made their own beer.

We were strolling down Boylston St and saw a sign by an open door. Walked in and surprised an employee who allowed, among other things, they were Sam Adams, there were no tours, I had come in a door that was usually locked, and they didn't actually make the beer there. This was about 1996 and the guy may have just been trying to show me out, he was polite but obviously busy.

Back at the hotel my three year old promptly told his mother Daddy had took him to a beer place.
