Hey 'all..........What are your thoughts on Jefferson's?
In PA it's Jeffersons Bourbon 82.3 Proof @ 29.99
The reserve and select are special order.
I like it, but the price is a killer, so I wait till it's on sale @ 5.00 off...One of my favs!

To get back my youth I would do anything in the world, except take exercise, get up early, or be respectable.

I think the Jefferson's 82.3 is a solid bourbon. It's pluses are a nice reasonably thick viscosity and an almost silky texture. It brings some straightforward caramel, butterscotch, corn, vanilla, and toast aromas that are backed up in the mouth. But there's very little more than that to it. It lacks a lot of depth and complexity and I'd like to see the proof much higher. The finish falls off very rapidly, which for me is a real killer. Overall it's a very nice sipper that brings reasonable value.

Lab, I enjoyed the whisky but like similar ones on the shelf I do a quick calculation over how much I'm paying for the expression and how much additional for the fancy bottle that will be tossed once empty.
It's pricey and I find it actually has a very nice wood/cedar component to it, but it's of course got little body.
Knowing what I know now I would spend money on something else, but it wasn't a total waste to me.

If it's the 15 year I am having some now at our work party. Very tasty. It was that or Knob Creek or WT 80p. The bartendress was pooring very healthy doses as well, as I was the only one drinking it. I don't think I would buy a bottle at the prices I've seen it for here, $40-50 a bottle.
Thanks all...
It was a good sip, but now gone!
I'm on Buffalo Trace and just re-visted Elija Craig...
reasonable prices!

other than being a tad sweet, Jefferson small batch is one of my favorite bourbons. It's so smooth with dark carmel and a little smoke.
