Some here have said that they don't really care for the higher-proof OGD. What is your impression?
Actually I like it. If I sit down with rye, I expect a little sting. I prefer a higher proof. Not sure why really. Wheat is for the kicked back, rye (to use one of Linn's expressions) is a party in your mouth... :grin
Have you tried the Weller 19 year old? I like it very much. Linn and others aren't as impressed but, they are rye guys. Drinking my way thru some of the great wheated Bourbons, has helped me realize what a 'one trick pony' Makers Mark really is. Their marketing is brilliant, their Bourbon is ok.
