Opened my first bottle of Eagle Rare 10 yr. 101 from 1983. So far so good!

Started with WT101, then EWSB 2000, now PHC 10yr. We'll see where we go from there.

Old Charter 12 yr 43%, a very pleasant drink.

Why not? It's Saturday night and still damn cold here and what better than a wheatathon: Rebel Yell-1981, Old Fitz BIB-1983, Weller 12-Binny's, VW-Lot B, PVW-15, PHC-124.2 and ending up with ORVW-107. As the advertising slogan says, "priceless".

What year is 43%? Thought it was all 90.

The ten year is 86 proof which is 43% alcohol and this bottle is part of the most recent stock at my local retailer. The label clearly states "Aged 10 Years" but not much else.

The eight year is 40% and the 12 year is 45%.

EWSB (2000) last night and loads of beer. Slow moving today as a result.

Early Times 354, just a taste, not enough for full tasting notes, the nose is a bit lighter than I would have thought but the texture is fuller and the taste richer than I expected.
