Long Time Drinker, First Time Poster

    Hello, everyone!

Brian from Indianapolis here. I have been LOVING this forum for a while now, and thought I'd take the plunge and join. As the title of my post implies, I've enjoyed bourbon for years now, but only recently discovered the vast world of bourbons out there. I'd like to think my palate has matured, but I'm really only getting started in developing my nosing and tasting abilities.

My wife, some friends, and I visited the major distilleries in Kentucky (Beam, Heaven Hill, Maker's Mark, Wild Turkey, Buffalo Trace, Four Roses, and Woodford Reserve) back in March and had a wonderful time.

Here's what I've been enjoying lately:

Evan Williams Single Barrel and Black Label
    Four Roses Single Barrel
Old Heaven Hill BIB Gold Label
    Buffalo Trace
    Eagle Reserve 10 Year
    Fighting Cock
    Blanton's

I'm always looking for new things to try and places to visit (especially around here since Indy seems like the middle of nowhere sometimes. We moved here from Phoenix, so I'm accustomed to a bigger selection of just about everything). If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know!

Welcome Brian. Hope to see you posting often

I'm pretty sure there are a few Indy members kicking around who should be able to give you the good word on local supplies.

Quite a few HH whiskies in your list. Keep a look out for Elijah Craig 12YO. It's one of my favourite pours without breaking the bank.

Welcome to SB and Indy.... Looks like you are off to a great start...

Indy may be in the middle of nowhere, but you are surrounded by several very substantial bunkers with very hospitiple hosts... Perhaps you will be able to make one of the famous "Indy Contingent Gettogethers..."
    Cheers,

    Scott

Thanks for the warm welcomes! Be sure to let me know about those gatherings, and I would love to check out the bunkers.
