OGD BIB (100) vs. EW Black vs. Wild Turkey 101

Which is your pick for the best whiskey in this lineup? I'm not much of an experienced drinker (I take that back...I've had a LOT of whiskey in my life, but I've never really had the money for the nicer stuff) so I'm wondering which is going to be the best bet here. FWIW, I like drinking whiskey neat or over ice; no mixing.

Here's the prices I'm facing:

OGD BIB: $29.99/1.75 liter
EW Black: $19.99/1.75 liter
Wild Turkey 101: $19.99/750 ml

Which will be the best value?

I would say WT 101 would be a nice step from Old Crow 80, and it's a darn tasty, solid pour.

Can't get Wild Turkey 101 in 1.75?

For me the OGD and WT are a close 1 + 2 and the EW is not even in the ballpark.

I think EWB is mighty tasty, especially for the price.

Actually $20 is a good price for a handle of it, so it gets my vote. 'round here its more like $24 + tax.

For whatever reason Evan Williams has rubbed me the wrong way. I've given it several chances from a few different bottles and can't warm up to it in the least.

I found Evan to be somewhat inconsistent. I'm a fan of their single barrel and found some amazing and others less so. sip some more Evan and maybe come across a bottle ya like. But on the other hand, sampling a lot of maybe's hoping for a better bottle, perhaps $$$ better spent on something ya know will be good.

I know how you feel. You cannot beat a half a gallon of whiskey for 20 bucks that is as good as evan williams for everyday drinking. That is the best value as I see it.

As to which one is the best- I'd say its a close tie between OGD and WT.

As for value- EWB (although OGD handle for 30 is not bad at all).

The evan will also show less spice and is a little sweeter than the other two. If you're drinking it on the rocks, go with the big boys- the evan is too low of a proof once those cubes start melting.
