Hello from Dallas...

Hey guys,

just wanted to drop a line and say hi.
My best friend got me addicted to this site and of course collecting whiskey.. I have always been a vodka person, enjoying the usual vodka tonic out of heavy high baller glass. BUT........... I am slowly converting to the dark side of bourbon . My best friend lives in ATL (JCG9779), and for the past couple months has been having me drive around the shady parts of Dallas looking for rare bottles. So needless to say, I have a couple bottles of Pappy 15Yr that are in my bar, that he wont let me open...
but i think that may change this weekend...

Cool! Welcome to SB Michael. Only a true friend would send his best buddy to the worst parts of town for whiskey. Just another sign of Jack's fall into Whiskirexia Nervosa... You'll find WN to be very contagious, Michael. Addiction to this site, hoarding bottles of Pappy, dusty hunting....yep, you's gots it....There is no cure, but the following thread will give you comfort in knowing you are amongst friends who are similarly afflicted...

Welcome, I don't live in Dallas, but I work there. I'm an hour SE in Kaufman Co. Lot's of good folks here. Lot's of good information. Have you been to Monticello Liquor yet? Just about the best bourbon selection and hard to get stuff. Prices suck though. If you want a decent selection and wharehouse prices, try Spirits downtown off of Canton.
