BT is selling two other mashbills as White Dog; the rye and the wheat. Looks like we can make our own Pappy now.

Interesting. I guess they're seeing HH's bet...They should raise them a Rye Whiskey White Dog.
And I'm sure it will be tasty in cocktails!![]()

I really see this as aimed at the micro-distillers and their $40 'white whiskeys.' Give everybody a chance to compare new make to new make and reach their own conclusions. A lot of the micro people like to bash the macros and claim to be better quality with little or nothing to support the claim. This is the majors saying, "oh yeah? Well here's our white dog. Let the drinkers decide."

most micros white dogs are too light. that is why there aged stuff has only a wood taste. put vodka in a barrel and you get wooded vodka. Bt's white dog is right on the oney of what micros SHOULD be aiming for.
And what better way to make that point than to put it on the market so everybody can discover that for themselves. If you love XYZ White Whiskey so much, try this.
