Too bad. Are you a Friend of Laphroaig? If you are, they're holding a free tasting dinner on Wednesday in Ft Worth. I'll be going.

I believe you can become one by simply registering on their Facebook page. Not sure if you need a bottle code to sign up or not. I have an extra if you need it.

    Re: Greetings from Dallas

I am still not sure how I feel about putting on a kilt, but the event sounds like looney fun

3:30 p.m. FoLs arrive at the Lonesome Dove
FoLs receive and put on kilts
Guests clothing stored in individual bags; clothing left behind at the restaurant

3:45 p.m. FoLs walk to the Stockyards to view the cattle parade (5- minute walk from The Lonesome Dove to the Stockyards)

4:00 p.m. Cattle parade starts; FoLs and group watch the parade

4:20 p.m. Group walks back to The Lonesome Dove Restaurant

4:25 p.m. FoLs arrive at The Lonesome Dove Restaurant; FoLs will given their belongings (i.e. change of pants, etc.)

4:30 5:30 p.m. First two toasts (10YO, CS); guests welcomed by S. Brooking and J. Campbell; mingle; passed appetizers

    5:30 6:30 p.m. FoL Line-dancing lesson in kilts

6:30 7:30 p.m. Dinner is served; formal tasting of remaining Laphroaig expressions (QC, 18YO); final event toast with Laphroaig Triple Wood

7:30 p.m. Event ends; guests depart
