Having some ETL tonight.
Started with a pour of 1789b OWA #6 and now I'm following that up with a Julio's JRPS 18yr unchill filtered...I have a feeling it's gonna be a wheater night.![]()

Finished off a bottle of Russell's Reserve tonight. Still in space-clearing mode.
Joey busted his arse this week, but it was worth it. So, ER 101 Frankfort is turning out to be a nice pour this evening, sittin' out by the outdoor fireplace. A little sprinkle is fallin' from the sky, but I'm under the big umbrella, and high n dry...Got a little CAO La Traviata Maduro goin'...sheltie is remarkably quiet while chasing shadows...for a change...Gotta a good mojo goin', while contemplating what goes in my glass next.

I started out with my usual Old Fitz BIB, then VOB BIB - both are always reliable. Now, taking a cue from another thread, I hauled out my '07 Stagg, filled the Glencairn to the widest point, and added a tablespoon of water.
Mmmmmmm. Just dynamite - an explosion of spice and sweet, wrapped in smoke. Too bad there aren't many pours left in that bottle.![]()
Oh no! You have walked into the slavering fangs of a lurking grue!
Was planning on taking tonight off following an unexpected rough Thursday night, Founders Double Trouble was flowing all to well at the local watering hole. But, it is Friday, so I poured a small amount of the blend. This was from the first batch where I vatted a smaller amount from already opened bottles. Absolutely incredible for what works out to be about $23 a bottle. Time and patience is key with the blend.
I'm always looking for an excuse to break out the good stuff, but on a typical Friday after an easy day at work I settled for Eagle Rare 10 yr...ER and I have a love/hate relationship. Tonight we enjoyed each others company...
The Beam Blend: a 1:1 vatting of Devil's Cut and Kirkland Small Batch. It's surprisingly good and almost makes me want to replace the DC when it's gone. Almost ...

Last night had a pour of PHC 11". Nice pour but a little boring. PHC 10' is way more complex and interesting. Followed up with couple of glasses of 4R SB - barrel strength OBSV from warehouse KE. Great stuff. Lots of familiar fruit and carmelly apples. ( I know carmelly is not a word but that's what it tastes like!)
