Old Rasputin has been my go to lately.

I had a Rogue Ales Voodoo Doughnut the other night.... Maple Bacon Ale...

I dig me some Old Rasputin too. But since it's unseasonably warm today at nearly 70 degrees (not bad for Chicago on March 13th!), I'm switching over from the dark stuff and heading for the Avery IPA. I love that beer!

Sam Adams Alpine Spring. Enough body to stand up to the cooler late winter/early spring temps, but lighter in color and some nice citrus to compliment the warm sunshine.

Winter and Fall seasonals have always been my favorite, but I've really enjoyed the past couple year's worth of Spring seasonals.

Had several cans of Bud Light last night. I love the bright notes of . . . er . . . nevermind. It was cold and delicious, though. No matter how many new beers I try, there will always be a time and place for a Bud Light, or nine.

Enjoyed a couple of bottles of New Belgium's Dig Pale Ale last night while relishing an extraordinarily beautiful evening on the deck. This beer actually has more hop bite and a drier finish than most pale ales, putting it closer to the IPA category. Refreshing and a pleasant surprise!

Now I'm having some Sling Shot from MacTarnahan's Brewing Co. Another very good match for the season. I'm not sure yet, but I might like it better than the Alpine Spring.
