I finished off my bottle of Old Forester Birthday Bourbon 2009 release. It was nice. Was it worth the price of almost 3 Signatures? That's subjective. It is fun to try different things.

I finished a Weller 12 and a semi-dusty Dant BIB in the last week or so.

Finished off a Henry McKenna 10 year old BIB and an Elmer T. Lee. Really like the HM, more so than the ETL (although it was very good). The HM really surprised me, one of the best I have tried so far.
Gentleman Jack and Elmer T Lee left today. Pretty sure Elmer will return for a visit, not so sure about GJ.
WHile at the campground last night, 2 of my buddys discovered my vault in the 5th Wheel. Dead soldiers from the thirsty trio are as listed;
1. templeton Rye
2. Crown Royal
3. Bulliet Bourbon
4. Jim Beam (White)
5. Wild Turkey 81
and 6. Some one brought a bottle of Jack Daniels (NOT MINE)
Since we could not bring them home from our trip, me and my cohorts had to finish off the bottles we purchased for this trip:
Very Old Barton
Wild Turkey Rare Breed
Maker's 46
Already have a couple of these bottles at home, but the VOB cannot be revisited soon, even if we wanted to since it is not readily available here in NJ, and honestly, while it was surprisingly decent for a bottle that I could pick up for less than $10, I am quite satisfied keeping OWA as my everyday value pour anyway.
I finally killed the bottle of Laird's BIB Brandy that I bought last summer. It's not bad at all, but there's not a lot going on there. I think if I was to replace it, I'd know that I'd mostly want to use it to make cocktails: I have a feeling it'd work better that way.

Saz 18.
Been open awhile, like not love. Made a Manhattan out of the remainder. Tasty and super aromatic.

I've been sipping on some Taylors lately. Both ends of the spectrum. I finished a dusty tax stamped 80 proof Old Taylor, and a Taylor Tornado bourbon in the last week. Both were great.![]()
