I sort of finished my first bottle ever, NAS OWA107. I actually didn't QUITE finish it, but blended in the Weller12 to make a big bottle of SB blend. I am jazzed!

That blend really is superb and well worth a try for those who haven't done so. First bottle ever? Drink up, dridge!

Problem is I tend to go for variety rather than dedicate my efforts toward a small selection at a time. Now with a good bit of samples under my belt, it will get a little more focused. But I did load up on OWA and W12 for this very blend.

I'm the same way. It takes me an absolute age to kill off most of the bottles I have because I tend to nip at them a pour or two at a time and move on to something else. Only recently did I decide to thin out the herd and devote attention to specific bottles in order to clean out the cabinet. But who am I fooling? That only frees up room for another one!

Four Roses Single Barrel 2012 LE. Wow, maybe the best bottle of bourbon I've ever had. Very very nice!

Jim Beam Black - this was my bourbon & rocks choice, thought it worked quite well.

Finished off a WT KS, smooth brown top last night. Not as good as the previous bottle. Little on the dull side.
Also killed the remnants of an OGD BiB. Always good.

I killed a Binny's OBSQ that, with a little air, had achieved what is one of my favorite FR profiles of buttery caramel, rich red fruit and floral astringency. I got it on sale and I'll have to return to that store to see if I can steal away with any more. When I went to reach for my next pour, all I could think about was opening another FR bottle. I restrained myself and had some '08 Mariage from a bottle I opened last week (divine), but if I want to make that bottle last, I'm gonna have to open another FR something very soon.
