- Silver Oat Whiskey;
- Silver Rye Whiskey;
- Double Rye;
- Rendezvous Rye; and,
- Son of Bourye.

Might have some other things under the table...feel free to ask.

That's great! I've been wanting to try the Silvers and the Son of Bourye.

I think it'll be a great time next weekend.

Is this an annual event? I can't make it this year, but my daughter's a freshman there now, and it would be a good excuse for a visit next year.

Yep, it's annual. I believe that this one is the 5th.

Mat - are you a regional sales rep for High West? I see on their website that they're based in Utah. Looks like you are a Minnesota man. If that's so, I'd like to talk with you about how you came by working remotely for a distillery.

I oversee all of the sales and marketing efforts for the distillery...both in the U.S. and abroad. Since I live in Minnesota, I do take care of this state myself, but we have a great group of four other regional reps who cover the rest of the U.S.

As for how I came to work for High West, that's a story that's too long to type out here. And it's one that's best told over a glass or two.

Mat - thanks for bringing out the entire High West line. I enjoyed talking with you at the beginning of the event before everyone else swarmed your table! I wonder if we'll see the video you made put up on the Internet somewhere. Did you enjoy your dinner at Merchant?

Richard from L'eft Bank - I was thrilled when you offered me a taste of your you-know-what whiskey. I made it back around to Mat's table later and he'd asked me if I ran into you, and I was glad to say that I did. Sorry that I spotted it so quickly when you were pouring for Rob at Heaven Hill.

Matt & JR from Merchant - a special thank you from both my wife and I for the extemporaneous drink mixing you did with the products being served. We love your cocktails. You two should make it to our place sometime so we can share some rare whiskies.
