Oskar Blues to Start Making Whiskey

Oskar Blues, here in Colorado, is going to start making whiskey... and guess what they're packaging it in... no really, guess. If you're at all familiar with Oskar Blues I'm sure you'll get it on your first try.

Ok, the idea of whiskey out of a can is just weird. And I'm having a hard time imagining a resealable top of some sort.

And 16 Ounces?? 473mL? Again weird? Not knowing much about the legal side of things, is that even a allowed packaging size?

    So many questions......

Good luck to them in their quest.

"...The cans come with a latex lid allowing it to be resealed for later."

Ugh, just sounds like a terrible idea. We shall see.

Wow, being local, I love Oskar Blues, they make some killer beers. But whisky, eh... Idk about that, especially in a can. Its probably going to carry a high price tag. I guess they will be unique and distinguished on the shelf. Count me as skeptical on this venture.

Everybody is making whiskey these days.... waiting for the Bud Bourbon and Miller Rye to hit the market

I believe there is already a Scotch in a can.

I can see the very old "Prince Albert" joke going 21st century:

Phone rings at Binny's South Loop Store...
    Ring....Ring....

Joe answers: "Thank you for calling Binny's. May I help you?"

12 yr old customer: "Do you have Oskar Blues in a can?"

    Joe: "Why, yes we do!"

Customer: "Then you better let him out!!!! Hee..Hee.. Giggle...giggle...

    CLICK.

    Nice!

Seriously though, I'm a fan of Oskar Blues. They make quality beer. Everyone originally thought it was just a gimmic when they started canning their craft beer (it kind of was) but they have legitimate reasons for doing so. This also feels like a gimmic, but who knows... if they approach the quality of their whiskey like they do their beer I may really enjoy it. Either way, I'll probably end up getting at least one bottle-I mean can just to see how it is.
