what bourbon are you enjoying spring 2012 ?

2 days to go, in Savannah at the B&B. They have wine and hors d'oeuvres from 4:30-6:00. I'll be drinking a mini Old Fitz BiB, spring '67-fall'73. As much as I get pissed about the availability of rare release bottles and then seeing them on eBay, it is a good way to taste old bottlings via minis.

all I'll say is I brought a flask of Devil's Cut and had a few swigs.

PHC Cognac finish. Just a little pour, but the instant nose was grapes and cognac, then blends with bourbon, such a great smell.

The three boys, I say boys, but they are 22, 21, & almost 20, arrived safely in Savannah today. After a little dinner, they came back to our B&B for a toast before leaving for their more appropriate accommodations on Tybee. We toasted with smallish pours of Redbreast cask.

I then had a nice pour for myself, the next to last celebratory pour, my last as a single man. Pappy 20. In about 15 hours I will be married, and with each passing moment I feel more blessed.
