Not in the City as often I as used to be, but it may be worth making a trip one of these days.
In the meantime, I will be up in Vernon, NY in June for a show, and with little else to do up there except gamble, I may drag people around dusty hunting upstate.![]()
Not so old, that Pace commercial still gets airtime in the NY/NJ area.
And BT may have a soft spot for TX, but everybody has a soft spot for the money and sales volume they can get from NYC.
There are a lot of online retailers that stock Weller 12. The last batch I picked up ended up coming to about $30 a bottle for four bottles, including shipping. Worth every penny IMO.

By pure coincidence and totally unrelated to this thread, my wife an I adjourned to the swing in our gazebo this afternoon to enjoy the unseasonably mild weather in Ohio with a bottle of OWA (for her) and a bottle of WLW 12 YO (for me). Glencairn glasses for both of us.
We took turns sharing our glasses and concluded that, compared side-by-side, the 12 YO comes out ahead for richness, mouthfeel, and overall complexity. With that said, we are still big fans of the OWA. Because there is no significant cost difference, I will continue buying both. (A recent purchase at the Liquor Barn in Lexington included another handle of OWA>)
I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy.
