ETL on the special times list and 1792 on the reg list, in Ohio, they're about the same price.

I can't speak for Ethan, but for me, price is not the only deciding factor of what goes on my "special occasion " list.

I agree to a certain extent. Availability is an issue too. I have a stash of $25.99 ORVW 10/107s that are in my special stock. My 1792 and ETLs are considered regular even though they were more $$$. I just found it strange as they are similarly priced Sazerac bourbons.

For special occasions it's always a wheater like Pappy, WLW, or PHC, or a 4R special edition, like the ones you get at the distillery. Actually, I don't feel special enough for the 4R stuff but I drink them anyway

1792 in PA is about $28.
ETL in PA is about $35.

Price isn't everything for sure. It's more about easy drinking versus something unique and flavorful.

I have not had the 1792, but the ETL has always been solid for regular or special occasions.
I have been switching between FR1B and EWSB '00. However, I just cracked open a bottle of Redbreast CS and I find myself wanting more.
