I'm pretty inexperienced when it comes to rye but have thoroughly enjoyed the ones I have tasted.
I know Rittenhouse BiB seems to be a staple around here but my local shop has some great prices right now so I've been eyeing the High West Double Rye and the Willett Single barrel (Not sure on the age, I'll have to check when I go back). I've heard great things about both but have heard the Double Rye is a bit intense and quite different from traditional ryes (please correct me if I'm wrong on this point).
I'm just looking for a rye in the $30 range that would be a great starter for a bourbon drinker. I do really enjoy rye heavy bourbons. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
