I can't find the threads, but back in the day there was discussion about how great a makers mark black was....but it was 103 proof and again, only available as an export.

I'm a big fan -- that's a bottle right in the middle of my avatar! Everything you want to know about Makers black wax (except where to find it) is in this thread, especially this post by Dave Pickerell, who was master distiller when they made it.

Long gone, and I'm nursing my last bottle. It's auction fodder even overseas.
