Interesting, but I don't really get this - so far. Jack Daniel's has no herbs in it. It's not a compound of anything, the only thing distinctive from regular straight whiskey is the charcoal filtering before barreling, but that was something widely practiced at the time from my reading. Also, Jack Daniel's whiskey is made mostly from corn, a grain not typical of the British Isles.
