    The Number 12

    Is it just a coincidence?

El Dorado 12 YO - one of my favorite rums.
Redbreast 12 YO- the cask strength is excellent.
Weller 12 YO- a classic wheater.
Wild Turkey 12 YO- nuff said.
Van Winkle Lot B 12 YO- Van Blankle anyone?
    Bottles in a case
    Balvenie 12 YO- another favorite.
Fitzgerald 12 YO- well, not exactly a fave but not bad.
    Years I've been with Val.
    '12 PHC- it's a good one.
    FR'12 - another good one.

    What else?
No US taxpayer was harmed in the making of my Ford racecar.

EC 12 surely, Randy, better than that Fitz 12 anyway.

And ole Dickel No. 12, it ain't no No. 13.

Why, for that matter, Canadian Club sells a power of its 12 year expression in the Great White North.

Don't forget Johnnie Walker Black Label and Chivas Regal, gran-dads of the bunch I'd say save the discursive/personal/current-year items per end of your list.

He's got Weller 12 up there between Redbreast and Wild Turkey.

Also, the Four Roses '12 Small Batch LE has TWO 12 year old bourbons in it. That's a numbers trifecta.

12 is a good sweet spot. Many bourbons over this age start tasting woody.

Randy & Val at 12? Val is #3 right? Is she past the sweet spot? Just kidding.

Highland Park 12 and Dalmore 12 are a couple more from Scotland that are great values at 12 years old.

A good sweet spot for us humans too. Your life in front of you and starting to understand the world better. No longer a child but still pretty innocent without many responsibilities or the full blown hormones that can cause all that rage, lust and wood .

Where's the rim shot icon...and for people here who have expressed umbrage with Wade...see he's really a great guy even to his good friend .
