That was a mistake you may never get the chance to make again.

Fortunately there are plenty of other ways to get lots of good whiskey for that $80... ok decision either way, as long as it ends up with a new bottle or two, right?

No, you never leave a VW rye, even for $80. That was a mistake, go back and get it!

Yes, there are many good whiskeys to be had for $80. Taste is subjective and some people don't care for ryes that much. Last year I left a few bottles of WLW on the shelf at $70-$75 - a move many SBers would have backhanded me for. That said, I would trade vital organs for VWFRR!

All snarking aside, if I saw VWFRR for $80 I'd still consider it a bargain. $250 for 20 year BT juice is crazy, though.
It wasn't a bad price, I bought 3 so far this year, that's the reason I passed.

Maybe, maybe not, got a total of 7 in the bunker so I'm set for awhile.

The money is going towards 2 bottles to be exact, and I think people will understand when I post what they are.

Saw Woodford Reserve Four Wood for $75 at Costco. Seen it elsewhere for $100.

Friend just texted me, asked if I wanted some Pappy he came across on his travels to Ashville, NC. $120 for a 12 year, $289 for a 20 year. I said thanks but no thanks . . . he passed as well.

Something isn't right here. NC ABC has set prices across the board and those aren't the prices.
