I suspect a lot of the negativity has to do with the retail price being $100...

Exactly! At $46 for the pair, that is a deal to me.

I always want to support local but when they charge crazy prices, I'd rather support Costco
$500?! That is absurd. I can see why you dont have to wonder why the Lot B is on the shelve still.

Or maybe for $46 he will get two bottles of crappy whiskey.

Al: So would I if I had whiskey for breakfast.

I actually found the 4 Wood release to be quite nice. I think Woodford is on the right track with experiments in the Master's Collection with aging/finishing in different woods to round out the sharp edges of their pot still house style. A couple of the most recent years' releases really work for me.

Well, I just saw a bottle of Lot B here in DC for, wait for it... $229.00. This is the most ridiculous price/markup I've seen yet.

Wow, that's cash only in a dark alley pricing.

Saw a Pappy 23 for $329. I expected it to be in a locked case but it was sitting on the shelf.

Shoot, I remember when Heaven Hill sent their 20+ year old whiskies overseas because they didn't think we would drink that old woody stuff.

Newb here, so let me know if I should reverse this error(s) when I go back next week to pick up a transferred bottle of EWSB:

OGD114 (4 bottles, 2 boxed, 2 not, seemed to be the same bottles) - price was <$30
Colonel EH Taylor 100 proof (may have been BIB, didn't check carefully - it was in a whitish heavy cardboard tube) This was $70, and they had 2 bottles.
Colonel EH Taylor 100 proof RYE (in a light yellow heavy cardboard tube) - I don't drink rye, so I didn't look carefully, but I think this was $70 also, and they had 6 bottles.
A 375-mL bottle of The Sngle Oak Project ($60)
    JPS18 (batch 6) at $90.
