What Bourbon Did You Purchase Today? - Fall 2012

Our new Liquor Barn opened today! I had a feeling they would have all the special releases squirreled away, and I was correct.

I picked up a WLW 2012, VWFRR13, and a John J Bowman single barrel.

Nice hauls Gents. Just 3 more Weller 12 for me--may just be an excuse to buy more of it, but paranoid this will disappear or go up in price, at least in my area.

And on a complete impulse even I can't fully explain I picked up a bottle of Cherry Grand Marnier. I can't resist the odd mixer for playing around with cocktails and it just seemed so festive...

Should be a fun weekend!

I grabbed a couple of Cherry Grand Marniers, too. Haven't experimented yet. Should go well with bourbon, maybe some sweet vermouth and bitters--kind of a Manhattan variant

Seems to be on quite a few shelfs around where I live. Noone really drinks bourbon here, so whatever the importer bought years back is still floating around at original prices or on offer

Grabbed a weller 12 after being shut out on a classic cask rye and vintage rye...called the store and was told they had them drove 1.5 hrs to find out they were phantom bottles
