[hand-waving freakoutery] Walked into a new store in my county and cleaned them out of their stocks of Weller 12. Every last bottle. Cost me $22.99. [/hand-waving freakoutery]

There was an empty shelf section with an upside-down sticker reading "Old Rip Van Winkle 10 year $49.99". I would have passed, then again I might have bit. I'm a little perturbed with myself for not going in sooner.

Nice score on the Weller 12. Great bourbon for the money.

I know the feeling about the empty shelf. I walked into a store while on vacation this past summer and saw the vast openness where the entire VW product line used to be, all at retail prices no less.

Well, didn't actually buy it today, but it's the newest on my shelf. Bought it a month ago. But it finally arrived. Hope I have the gonads to open it one day.


And thanks to one particular SBer who alerted me to its existence in a liquor store in Germany.

Wow...I know it's really none of my business, but how much did that set you back? I only ask cause the last one I saw sold for about $1000 (about a month ago). I'm jealous regardless!

I found a OFBB 2010 today that a local shop JUST received. (this will be a xmas gift to a buddy who's an OFBB fan)

Picked up a Wild Turkey Rare Breed I haven't had WT for years.

Picked up a 2012 PHC. This one must have been a second dump. The first one was at 131.6 (or at least that is what I remember). This new one was at 137.9. Didn't think the first was great. Hope the second is better.
