    No More ORVW 10yr 90???

Saw this on facebook today and shuddered that I didn't buy any when I was in Kentucky.

Does anyone know if when they say "quit bottling", do they mean for this year? Or temporarily? Or forever??

Why not just get the 107 and proof it down?

Are they pretty much identical aside from the proof? I've got one of each at the moment, but haven't ever diluted my 107 down to 90 for comparison. The 90 was the first ORVW (or VW for that matter) I ever purchased, so I've always been partial to it - but if it is just a matter of "simply add water" I'll have to stock up on the 107 whenever I get a chance next year!

I'm the same way as Dary...the first VW I found in the wild when I moved to Georgia was ORVW 90 proof. All four of those bottles somehow made it into my truck that day. Funny how that happens.

You've never found any Pappy though, so....

I've bought the 90 and the 107 in TX.

I always thought the 90 was the one you bought when there were no more 107s to be had. Never understood putting out two proofs of the same juice/
Life's too short, and there's too much good whiskey within reach.

Weller has done it for years and the 90 proof is the better seller over the 107 as far as I know or at least it was around here.

Never said I haven't found pappy....was just never offered any pappy. Big difference Twice I came to a shop that had the box open and bottles sitting behind the counter. They were always taken and promised to others. Also, I have only seen the LOT B's, the Rye, and the PVWs....never have seen the squat 10yr bottles. Be kind of nice to have one some day...but...based on the beginning thread...seems I likely wont.

I wouldn't shed a tear if the 90 proof went away. I'd be one irate sumbitch if the 107 went away to make up more cases of the 90.
