¡Geaux Tigers! - ¡Visca el Barça!
Sounds interesting, I've never tried mixing Bourbons like that.
I had some OWA and then Weller 12yr while watching Justified.
Large pour of Weller 12yr while playing in weekly poker tournament last night. Made final table and finished 5th (Out of 30+).
The Weller line has been a slam dunk. The well-known SB blend is fantastic, either on its own, or as a base for other wrinkles as ChainWhip prepared. Staying within the wheated family, I've added the Vintage 17 wheater to the SB blend with great results, adding a bit more depth, age and richness. Branching out, I've added WSR to a somewhat thin and spicy FRSB, for another great result. It's fun, and worth a try sometimes.
Last night, had a pour of standard FRSB--a very flavorful, balanced barrel. Delicious, and a steal at $30.
I'm enjoying a Barton Dreamsicle (working title) the basic elements of which are Barton, orange and vanilla. This cocktail shows promise.
I'm following squire's lead and having an afternoon cocktail - VOB 6/90 old-fashioned, brown sugar cube, two dashes Angostura bitters, one dash Reagan's orange bitters, a peeled wedge of orange. Now that's the ticket! Cheers!
I am not content with saying "when it's gone, it's gone" - I would like some to enjoy down the road.
A couple pours of Weller 12.
