With OBSV on the mind, I opened a OBSV 16 yo gift shop offering and while I didn't care for it in a 4R blind tasting compared to other samples, it's hitting the spot now
A touch of Grand Dad to warm up the evening.
Starting early - Michter's Sour Mash & OGD114 to start off the evening. This OGD114 is a thing of beauty!
¡Geaux Tigers! - ¡Visca el Barça!

Eagle Rare 10 Year... bottle is getting low, though, better add water to make it last longer
OGD 114. Every pour of my first go-round with it is better than the last.
Grand Dad will do that to 'ya.
EC 12 For a night cap
This is a late report, but a solid pour of Knob Creek on the rocks (the best American whiskey they had on offer at Symphony Hall) before last Saturday's Boston Symphony Orchestra concert was the perfect way to settle in for a great performance.
Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 23 was familiar and very well played, but this was the first time I've heard Bruckner's Symphony No. 4, and it was fantastic. Sort of a blend of Wagner and Mahler, lots of brass and crescendos, really my kind of symphony.
