OK, I have had this bottle open since Saturday and I like it less and less.

On my last trip to TPS, I picked up my first Beam product, a TPS KCSB for $35. Can't put my finger on it, but I just don't dig it. I won't be buying any more.

Wandered in to Mac McGee's for dinner with a couple of friends. Along with the Shepherd's Pie we all tried the whiskley flight that evening which consisted of Michael Collins 10yo, Ben Riach 12 and Larceny.
For me the Michael Collins was the winner with Larceny a close second. Just wasn't feeling the scotch. Despite that not sure I would add the Michael Collins to my bar. With a touch of smoke it was more scotchy than the scotch (which was a light Speyside malt that was supposed to have a touch of smoke but was mostly honey) even though I know that not all scotch has to be peaty. This one was just a little too plain vanilla.
That yella whiskey runnin' down my throat like honey dew vine water and I took another slash…
