JPS18, Batch #13. It's growing on me. I bought this back at the beginning of November and I've had 3-4 pours prior to tonight. This is the first time it's impressed me on the palate.

A little GTS to finish up a nice evening with the wife.
Larceny. My first sip ever, just opened my first bottle.
Much to my surprise, I am underimpressed. I have a feeling that a little oxidation will do this one some good; first pour out of the bottle, it tastes as though they went for all the sweetness with none of the complexity. I have a feeling it will develop in time. Too many people have said too many good things about Larceny for me to dismiss it out of hand.
Brought my flask filled with 50/50 SB Blend to a dinner with friends (first use of my xmas present flask!). After they offered some drinks (I went with some Jameson's neat) I busted out the flask and poured the bourbon into my cup. They thought it was pretty funny, they were drinking grapefruit flavored vodka and soda water, and I was drinking bourbon neat.
Well, if they knew the truth our Bourbon prices would be higher.
Definitely give the larceny some nice air-time, and then revisit it. Last night, I had an after-dinner pour of my Larceny bottle that has been open for a couple of months. It was very tasty and satisfying, and had opened up nicely from the first pour right after opening. It's not going to be an incredibly layered bourbon at this price, but I do enjoy it as another wheater option.
Had some 4R SmB LE 2012 and PHC 2012 last night while watching my muskies lose. Again. But they are both awesome whiskeys!
went to a concert last night. brought along larceny in a plastic hiking flask. i highly recommend those flasks for anyone trying to discreetly bring booze into places. the larceny was delicious and sure beat paying $14 for a dram of jack
Put the last of the open bottle of Angel's Envy in my flask to take to a banquet last night to supplement the usual meager offerings at the cash bar. Proved to be a hit among a few bourbon minded friends in attendance.
That yella whiskey runnin' down my throat like honey dew vine water and I took another slash…
