What bourbon did you purchase today? - Winter 2012/2013

JPS 18yr batch #8 x2.

I've had a couple of the higher batch number, looking forward to seeing if there is any difference with a earlier.

Please post your notes when you open it. I have batch 16, and have just purchased 2 more bottles (#6, and D-8). I've not opened the two latest, but have posted elsewhere about the batch 16. It improves with time once opened.

They also had some 2008 OFBB. What do you think of that year?

The '08 was interesting. Upon first opening, lots of leather, which I really enjoyed. A lot of that has gone away, but still a lovely bourbon. My notes are posted on SB somewhere. You may get another response on this soon, as I'm aware of someone that has recently obtained a bottle.

Kahn's OWA barrel #18. #9 and #44 were good so looking forward to trying this one. They're finally putting the warehouse and rick info on the labels, so that's a step in the right direction. Kahn's has made some good picks, but they've been less than forthcoming about the stories behind their barrels.
