Had Rivertown's Roebling Porter yesterday. Loved it! Though, I have yet to meet a porter that I didn't at least like.

What beer are you drinking? Winter 12/13

Tonight I'm drinking a Uinta 20th Birthday Suit, which is a sour brown ale. Very good, lots of malt to balance out the sour elements. Happy birthday Uinta Brewing, here's to a lot more than 20 more.

Pretty much swimming in Central Waters Bourbon Barrel Aged product over the past week or so. The Peruvian Morning is delicious; both 4 packs I bought last year were infected, so it's great to finally get to enjoy this coffee stout -- can't wait to try it up against some fresh Founders KBS next month. The Barleywine is drinking hotter than last year's did, but it's still great and destined to improve with age, I think. The single bottle of the Cherry Stout seemed better than last year's, especially as it warmed up and lost some of its tartness.

Now I need to find something to celebrate with a fresh 650ml bottle of Firestone Walker Sucaba BA barleywine....

I had a bomber of this last week. I was disappointed given all the hype. I have another in the fridge, so I'll wait to give a committed opinion until after I drink that, but first impression is mostly consistent with how I've felt about their other beers. I will say I liked it more than Ca$h 4 Golden and Unicorn Galaxy.

Maudite last night. Not too shabby. It was part of a Unibroue set I picked up at Costco. Looking forward to trying the other beers in the set.

Yeah, I wouldn't say it wowed me, but I enjoyed it. Have you tried 18th Street's Sinister DIPA yet? I just picked up a bomber.

Fuller's ESB on tap last night during the Bulleit love fest at the always fun Mac McGee's. Amazed at the huge crowd that turned out. Got too big for me eventually.
That yella whiskey runnin' down my throat like honey dew vine water and I took another slash…

I'm at the Holy Grail pub in Plano having a Saint Arnold's Bishop's Barrel #2. It's supposedly their Xmas ale aged in ex Chardonnay barrels for 14 months with 40lbs of sour cherries per barrel.

This isn't a style I'd normally drink, but I do enjoy it. Bonus: free Saint Arnold/Texas Independence Day pint glass came with it. Woot!
