I had my first taste of the Stone Double Bastard last night. Really good stuff.

Yes, the Sun is out and I'd swear they're hops in the air.
I picked up some Pliny today that was bottled 1/25/13. This is some pretty good stuff.
Drank some Hopslam with dinner.
So, I bougt some "Mississippi Mud" in a Deli-Store here in Bonn, and then two cans of "Moosehead", which is canadian, I guess. I am not into american beers (it is very hard to get in Germany!) and I am really looking forward to what these beers have to offer! Yeah!

That's interesting, I hadn't thought much about the availability of American beers in Germany, are they expensive compared to the local brews?
Depends on which brand, but yes, they are expensive. I paid for a can of Anheuser 33cl 1.50€, where I can buy a 50cl bottle of german beer for as cheap as 1€. It is really a specific market for U.S beer, I mean, you can buy JD and JB everywhere, but beer is a different thing though. Miller is pretty common here, because you can buy it at Burger King.

Beer at Burger King, let me savor that thought for a moment.
No beer at BK's in the US?

Uh, no . . . unfortunately too many of my fellow citizens consider any alcohol to be the Devil's brew.
