Killed a FRSB2013 this weekend, almost shed a little tear as the last drop fell.

    Best regards, Tony

I hate FB but I really want to see what all this BX fuss is about.
I've never tried GTS with any sort of soda. Maybe I'm missing out; but I'm OK with that.

On the one hand it's a fascinating sociology experiment and a heck of a history lesson in what used to be out there. The flip side is that it's quickly spiraled into folks posting photos of bottles in stores and hedging to buy/flip or not. I wasn't around bourbon when it was allowed on ebay, but imagine it's like ebay with more photos and less realistic prices.

But i digress, polished off a BMH over the weekend. Damn mystery NAS bourbon strikes again...not making that mistake again.

Just put a Parker's 27 year to bed. One of the best I've ever had. I see Hirsch has a 28 year bourbon but it's a little pricey.

IMO don't bother with the Hirsch 28, it doesn't hold a candle to the PHC27. But then again you love woody stuff and that H28 is like making out with a piece of lumber, so it might be right up your alley.

The Hirsch 25 might be up your alley. I found it for about half the price of the 28 and I think it's mighty fine. or as my friend said when he took a sip of it "well, that doesn't suck!"

Agreed that the Bourbon Exchange is a bizarre social experiment. The thought of people going in liquor stores, then seeing something they've not seen before and immediately posting "should I buy this?" is just a new era.

Killed off my bottle of Eagle Rare barrel select last night with some good friends. Either this was a particularly good bottle that I was too harsh on initially or a few months of air time did it some serious favors. It was delicious.
