EWSB vintage 1999. Nice whiskey, shared a lot of this bottle with friends, and I doubt I'll see any more in the wild.

Perhaps you should have the bottle taxidermied and hang it over the mantle.

Killed a bottle of Very Very Old Fitzgerald 18 year on Monday. It's taken this long to come to terms with it.

Powers 12. Not bad at all, but for an Irish in the arsenal I'd rather replace it with regular Powers (for easy drinking on the rocks) or Black Bush (which is a little sweeter and thicker that could be had neat or on the rocks.)

My first ever Basil Hayden bottle bit the dust tonight. Sadly it had started to taste oxidised, so ended up making a couple of strong bourbon and cokes.

2010 ER17 had dregs left so killed it. Testiment to quality, it was still super great. Now toasting the demise with the last of a 2011 Stagg.

How long was the bottle open? Curious if you noticed something different with the taste in less than 6 months.
